Overview
ClawControl is an open-source client application that connects to your self-hosted OpenClaw server. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data the app collects
ClawControl is a client that connects directly to your OpenClaw server. We do not operate any intermediary servers.
- No telemetry. The app does not send analytics, crash reports, or usage data to us or any third party.
- No account required. There is no ClawControl account. Authentication is between you and your OpenClaw server.
- Local storage only. Settings (server URL, theme preference, sidebar state) are stored locally on your device via localStorage or the platform keychain. They are never transmitted to us.
- Chat data stays on your server. All messages, sessions, and agent data are stored on and retrieved from your OpenClaw server. ClawControl does not store, cache, or forward chat content to any external service.
Data this website collects
The clawcontrol.app website is a static site hosted on AWS CloudFront/S3. We collect minimal data:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this website. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, approximate geographic location, device type, and browser. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google processes this data.
- Beta signup form. If you sign up for the mobile beta, we collect your email address and platform preference (iOS/Android) via Google Forms. This data is used solely to notify you when the beta is available and is not shared with third parties.
- Server logs. AWS CloudFront may log standard access information (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) for operational purposes. These logs are not used for tracking and are automatically deleted.
Cookies
This website uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and track browsing sessions. These cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively. No other cookies are set by this website. The ClawControl app does not use cookies.
Your rights
You may request deletion of any data we hold about you (e.g., beta signup email) by contacting us. Since the app itself collects no data, there is nothing to delete on the app side.
Children's privacy
ClawControl is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
